About Freya’s Astro Advice
On this page:
An intuitive reading for each sign of the zodiac…
‘O my word, how spot on you are with my stars this month Freya! Spooky!’ Shaon
Freya’s Astro Advice is created using a unique method. I work with several divinatory tools to create an intuitive reading, rather than using the traditional method of observing and commenting on planetary activities. I have an astrological background and this understanding enables me to write the advice whilst taking into consideration the strengths, weaknesses and lessons of each sign.
‘Your astro advice is amazingly intuitive.’ Galit
For the reading, I focus on one sign at a time. I shuffle my Glastonbury tarot cards whilst asking Spirit what that sign needs to know. I then pick a card, a crystal and a Kira symbol (my own divinatory system). Once I have the three divinatory tools in front of me, I receive an intuitive message that I need to relay to the people of that sign. The tools that were used for your reading will be listed along side your Astro Advice.
‘Hey – did you write the Aries one for me?!’ Nick
When writing Astro Advice, I tend to pick up on potential issues that need to be faced or tackled during the coming weeks. However, I always offer a possible solution and the positive side to any given situation. I do not ‘tell fortunes’ because it is my aim to help people figure things out, grow as a person and find empowering solutions to life’s challenges.
The aim of my work is to offer guidance and support to those who are embarking on a journey of self discovery and personal transformation.
‘Fascinating! What you had to say for my star sign was really fitting, AGAIN.’ Shaon
‘I totally love the work you are doing and big thank you for your sound astro-advice.’ Sara
‘I’d like to thank you for your lovely free astro advice – always interesting and often surprisingly on the mark.’

I am always surprised by how many people are not sure which sign they are. Personally I can’t imagine going through life with out this crucial information! If you are unsure, or you consider yourself ‘on the cusp’ between two signs then now is the time to sort out the confusion, because you can only have one birth sign. Before I explain how you can work out which sign you are, I’d like to explain a few things that will hopefully help you understand how it all works and why there is sometimes confusion about this.
When people refer to you ‘birth sign’ or ‘star sign’, they are actually talking about your SUN sign – that is – the sign of the zodiac the SUN was in when you were born. (The other astrological bodies are also present in various positions around the zodiac when you are born.) The sun takes a year to travel around the zodiac with its passage roughly relating to our calendar months, which are of course solar. That means that the sun spends roughly a month in each sign. (This is not the case with the other planets in astrology – for example, Pluto can spend up to 15 years in the same sign because it is a very slow moving outer planet.)
Although the sun travels through the zodiac over the course of a year, it doesn’t arrive in any sign on a specific date because the sun doesn’t follow our calender exactly. When the horoscopes you read in the papers give dates, they are referring to an average. Just to confuse things – different astrologers use different methods for deciding on the average! This means someone can look in two different papers and get told they are two different signs, which of course causes confusion. The time of day it changes sign also varies. So, the sun may enter Virgo on the 23rd Sept for three years in a row – but the time of day it changed sign will be different. This means that two people born on the exact same day can be different signs!
Ultimately, the only way to know for sure what sun sign you are is to look up the year and time you were born in an ephemeris. This sounds a lot more complicated than it is because computer programmes will now do this for you! You can get this info for free and I highly recommend www.astro.com as a website for anyone interested in astrology and/or trying to find out what sun sign they are. If you go to this website and enter your birth details, it will tell you where all the planets were when you were born, including your sun sign.
What if you don’t know what time you were born? Unfortunately knowing this does makes a huge difference because the ‘starting point’ of the wheel of your birth chart is determined by the time of your birth (and the sign that was ‘rising’ when you were born). However, to determine your sun sign you only need the time you were born if the sun changes sign on the actual day of your birth.
To find out if it changes sign on your birthday, input the data for 12 midnight for the day you were born and note the sun sign. Then do the same for midnight for the day after you were born. If the sign for midnight on both days are the same, then you know what your sun sign is. If it is different, then it changed signs on the day you were born. If you know an approximate birth time, that should narrow it down to the most likely possibility.
If this doesn’t sort out the confusion, then you can always go to an astrologer and get them to use intuitive methods to pin point the time of your birth. This is surprisingly effective and well worth it if you really want to know.
Good luck!
Freya ♥
